Merseyside giants Liverpool are considering a big money move for Inter Milan midfielder NicoloBarella according to the latest reports emanating from the Italian media. The specific report from Italian publication Tuttomercatoweb stated that the Reds are considering a €70m bid for Barella who’s also a top target for rivals Manchester United. Both Manchester United and Liverpool are in the race to sign Barella whose status as been elevated after a successful campaign for both club and country.
Barella came through the youth system at Italian Serie A club Cagliari and he went on to make his professional debut for the same team. His quality was appreciated by Inter Milan who signed him initially on a loan deal in 2019 before the move was made permanent last summer. He helped Inter Milan to a first league title in eleven years thanks to former manager Antonio Conte.
Liverpool and Manchester United target Barella thrived under Conte at Inter Milan in his two years at the club till date. Conte left the Nerazzuri due to transfer disagreements with the owners and the Italian tactician has since been replaced by compatriot Simone Inzaghi. Since joining Inter Milan two years ago, Barella has scored seven goals plus 21 assists in 87 games for the club in all competitions.
