Nicky Butt admits there has been power shift between Manchester clubs

Manchester United favourite Nicky Butt has said that there has been a genuine power shift between the Manchester clubs over the past few years and his former side have a challenge on their hands to reclaim their dominancy over their cross-town rivals. The Red Devils were truly outclassed during the recent derby at the Etihad Stadium where Manchester City secured a comfortable 3-1 victory to return to the top of the table.

Fulham: Stick or Twist

Huddersfield heaped more misery onto Fulham at the John Smith’s Stadium during another edition of Monday Night Football. Losing to the Terriers at this stage of the season is nothing short of disastrous for Fulham boss Slavisa Jokanovic as the West Yorkshire side managed to leapfrog Fulham and propel themselves off the foot of the table.

Right now, Fulham are at their first real crossroads after being promoted from the Championship last season. As things stand, their record makes for quite awful reading after suffering their fifth straight defeat as well as only managing a solitary win in their opening 11 games in England’s top flight. This downturn in form is light years away from the fashion in which they ended last season in the Championship by beating Villa at Wembley in the play-off final. Inter Milan defender responds to Manchester United transfer speculation

Inter Milan defender Milan Skriniar has refused to concentrate on the ongoing speculation linking him with a move to Manchester United. The Slovakia international has become one of Europe’s hottest properties after helping the Nerazzurri return to the Champions League last season and this has not encouraged him to pursue a bigger challenge elsewhere.

Speaking to reporters, Skriniar cited that he does not like to get into the gossip but hinted that the Red Devils may have made an approach during the summer transfer window, he said: “I just read that, but I’m not thinking about these things. There were these rumours in the summer too but nothing happened in the end and I don’t think anything will happen now. There are a lot of matches with Inter, right after the international break there are important games like the Milan derby and we need to prepare well.”

Jose Mourinho pleased with team’s attitude despite Tottenham Hotspur defeat

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has hailed the team’s attitude on Monday night despite them suffering a 3-0 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur. The loss was the second straight one for the Red Devils in the Premier League and this sees them in the bottom half of the standings after three matches.

Speaking after the game, Mourinho suggested that United were probably unlucky with the result, given they had a fantastic attitude and should have taken the lead during the first period, he said: “We played very well, the players had a fantastic attitude and, at half-time, the score in my opinion should have been two goals different, minimum. Then something changed the game a little bit and the score was 2-0 but the team was in the game.
