Jose Mourinho Admits Initial Mistakes with Henrikh Mkhitaryan

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has publicly admitted that he made a mistake with Henrikh Mkhitaryan in his first few months at Old Trafford.

The Armenian international was one of the high profile signings for the club last summer after coming on for £ 30 million. Yet, he rarely featured in the first team during the first few months. Just when it seemed that Mkhitaryan was on the verge of an exit during the January 2017 window, he sparked to life with some incredible goals. The 28-year-old came up with four assists last season and he has already been in devastating form this season. Mkhitaryan has been crucial behind the success of Romelu Lukaku in the first few games of the season. The Belgian has scored three goals in his two games since making the £ 75 million transfer from Manchester United. Zlatan Ibrahimovic to hold Manchester United Contract Talks

Former Sweden international Zlatan Ibrahimovic is keen on extending his stay at Manchester United despite offers from several other clubs.

The 35-year-old bagged 28 goals across all competitions for United last term before he suffered a season-ending knee injury.

Ibrahimovic joined the Red Devils on a Bosman transfer during the previous transfer window, and many doubted his potential to succeed in the top flight owing to his trailing age. However, he managed to prove his critics wrong from the start itself as he netted the winner in the Community Shield win over Leicester City.

The veteran therein contributed effectively towards Manchester United’s league campaign while also providing a man of the match brace in the EFL Cup victory over Southampton in February. With Europa League approaching the final stages, Ibrahimovic sustained a double knee damage in the quarter-final tie against Anderlecht, and this effectively ruled him out the season. MANCHESTER UNITED BLOW PREMIER LEAGUE RACE OPEN

Manchester United have blown the Premier League title race open with their 2-0 defeat of league leaders Chelsea. Jose Mourinho produced a tactical master class that helped the Red Devils sail past his former club.

The gap at the top of the log has now been reduced to four points with six games left to play. The Blues would have to fight off a strong competition from Tottenham Hotspurs as the season draws to a close.

United cannot win the Premier League this term as they are afar off but they caused considerable damage to Chelsea’s confidence with the victory. It is the same situation three years ago when the same Mourinho frustrated Liverpool’s hopes. This time he seemed to get one over Chelsea after they sacked him and Antonio Conte’s men humiliated him 4-0 at Stamford Bridge earlier in the season. Same Chelsea ended United’s FA Cup hopes. ROONEY IMPRESSED WITH JOSE MOURINHO

Manchester United skipper Wayne Rooney is impressed with Coach Jose Mourinho since joining the club. Rooney says that the winning mentality of the Portuguese tactician has helped the Red Devils become title contenders again.

Manchester United have faced a terrible time since the exit of long time manager Sir Alex Ferguson. While many did not expect instant success or regular titles, the rate at which the top club slumped was incredible. After changing coaches three times, Rooney opines that Mourinho can help restore that winning mentality at Old Trafford.

“He’s obviously a top manager – I think his record at all clubs he’s been shows that. I think he knows what he wants from the players, and the players know what the manager wants from them. He’s strong in that sense but as long as you’re doing what he wants, then I’m sure you’ll be fine. Continue reading “ROONEY IMPRESSED WITH JOSE MOURINHO”

Rio Ferdinand Reveals name of Player who never got Scold by Fergie

Rio Ferdinand recently revealed that there was one player in the Manchester United squad of his era who was never scolded by Fergie for anything.

Fergie was believed to be one of the angriest managers of that era. He wasn’t someone to show too much of sentiment in public view, but, in the locker room, he wouldn’t mind going after his boys and a lot of the United players, who have recently retired, have said that.

While everyone came on the radar of an angry Fergie at some point or the other during their time at United, Fletcher always managed to escape that somehow and that, in Ferdinand’s opinion, was because of the fact that he used to spend a bit more time with the coach than the other players did.
