Louis van Gaal hints retaining Managerial Position

Louis van Gaal has hinted that he expects to stay as the manager of Manchester United going into next season.

He believes that being part of the discussions for next season is a sign that the club still retain their faith. Van Gaal has been widely expected to leave Old Trafford after his failure to achieve anything of great significance in the last two years. He has not been granted the time but he has instead been given vast sums of money to spend. Most of the signings, though, have not worked in favour of the Dutchman.

Instead, he seems to have found success in the youth team at the club. After promoting a number of youngsters like Marcus Rashford into the first-team, United reached the FA Cup final by beating Everton. Van Gaal provided a great generation of young players during his times at Barcelona and Bayern Munich. The recent developments have also led to suggestions that he is building a similar sort of ecosystem at United, who are already famed for bringing youngsters through. Van Gaal said in his pre-match press conference ahead of the game with Leicester that he has had a difficult job dealing with older players when he came to the club. Louis van Gaal might resign and United want to sign Japanese forward

Following Manchester United’s 3rd successive defeat after losing against Stoke City, Louis van Gaal has announced the possibility of him resigning from his managerial position of the Premier League club.

In a press conference after their loss against Stoke City, the Dutch coach of Manchester United was asked about his current situation in Old Trafford and if he has any kind of assurance to stay as the head coach despite his recent string of losses, Louis van Gaal replied by saying that he can simply quit himself if things get too serious or heated.

“I can also quit by myself. That is something I speak to Ed Woodward about by himself not with you. It is not always that the club has to fire or sack me. Sometimes I do it by myself. Roy Keane is the favorite of taking up the Northern Irish managerial job

A chain effect might be on the verge of developing which started with the sacking of Nigel Pearson as the head coach of Leicester City and this chain effect can possibly end up with the managerial position of the Northern Irish squad being taken by Roy Keane.

It’s believed that the current coach of the Northern Irish football team, Martin O’Neil is the man that is being viewed as the perfect candidate to take charge of Leicester City and replace Nigel Pearson who was recently sacked. If this does indeed happen and everything follows through, then Roy Keane is expected to become the new coach of the Northern Irish national side as he will be promoted from the assistant to the full time manager.

Martin O’Neil has already coached Leicester City and it was a very impressive period of time for the English club as they managed to secure 2 League Cups during the time when Martin O’Neil was in charge starting from 1995 until 2000. The head chiefs of Leicester City want to see him back at the King Power Stadium and are prepared to offer him a generous salary in order to lure him back into the team. Andy Cole reckons that his former club will be better off signing Karim Benzema

Former Manchester United striker Andy Cole reckons that his former club will be better off signing Karim Benzema rather than Harry Kane.

Both strikers have been linked heavily with United in recent weeks. While Benzema is an established centre forward who plays for one of the biggest clubs in the world in the form of Real Madrid, Kane comes on the back of a spectacular season with Tottenham. It has been speculated that the England international will cost around £ 40 million and it has been seen as the perfect replacement for Wayne Rooney going forward.

Rooney has just touched 30 years of age and will be expected to last around a couple of years at the top level.Kane is just starting his top-level career and will be able to provide the same kind of service that Rooney has done in the last 10 years. Benzema, though, will be a short-term addition to the team since he already arrives at the peak of his powers. Cole, though, reckons thatKane will struggle immediately after making the switch to United. Even though the forward has scored 21 goals last season, Cole says that it was a campaign in which everything went in for the youngster and he does not expect a repeat of the same going forward.
