Jose Mourinho makes prediction over Manchester United’s 2019/2020 season

Former Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has said that the Red Devils don’t stand the chance of competing for the Premier League title despite the fact that they secured a comfortable 4-0 triumph over Chelsea on the opening day. The Red Devils were initially on the back foot during the league opener but they managed to find the net out of where following a penalty conceded by Kurt Zouma.

Thereafter, the game remained lively with the Blues once more keeping up the pressure on the United end but they eventually succumbed to a disappointing loss after conceding three goals on the counter-attack after the hour mark. Speaking after the game, Mourinho said that United will have a good season when compared to the previous where they finished sixth on the standings. Kleberson believes Manchester United should part ways with Paul Pogba

Former Manchester United midfielder Kleberson has said that the Red Devils should take the option of selling Paul Pogba this summer, given the midfielder does not suit the club’s style of play. The Frenchman has been with the Red Devils for the past three seasons but he has acknowledged that he could move on during the current transfer window.

In a report covered by The Mirror, Klebersonappreciated that the Frenchman remains a great player, though he does not seem to suit the Red Devils. He said: “It is the right move to sell Paul Pogba, he’s a great player and his talent is unbelievable, but his style is a little bit different, and not particularly what Man United need. He could use this opportunity now to leave and get a fresh start, play in a different atmosphere, and embrace a new challenge. Sometimes it’s hard to come to Manchester United and adapt to play a particular style. It doesn’t mean he’s not a good player with great quality.”

Neil Shipperley believes Aaron Wan-Bissaka’s move to Manchester United is a fair business

Former Crystal Palace star Neil Shipperley believes the Eagles would be doing fair business with the sale of Aaron Wan-Bissaka to Manchester United this summer. The England youth international only made his first-team debut for the Eagles last year but he has made a good impression in the Premier League to attract big-club interest.

Among those, United have been deemed favourites to seal a transfer agreement for around £50m and Shipperley believes the Eagles should sanction the move, he said: “I think it’s good business for a right-back that has made 42 appearances. It’s a great deal for the club. This is football at the moment. There’s not a bidding war for him. Manchester United are the club. No-one else is coming in for him so you’re not going to have this bidding war. I think £50m or £55m is a fair deal.”

Liverpool favourite hoping United aid in Reds’ pursuit of the Premier League

Former Liverpool star John Arne Riise has said that the Reds may require some assistance from Manchester United in order to secure their maiden Premier League crown this term. Jurgen Klopp’s side have enjoyed an exceptional season by their standards in the top-flight but they are still one point behind Manchester City in the pursuit of the title.

Speaking to BeIN Sports, Riise acknowledged that the title race could go down to the wire and United could have a major say on the Reds’ prospects of securing a maiden Premier League crown, he said: “Well I hope we get some help from the neighbours of City, Man U. They’ve got to meet them away from home. Man United have got to win as well to get to the top four. So I look at that game, it could be crucial for City. But they’re looking so strong. Yes [Liverpool can win six out of six], yes [Liverpool will win six out of six]. They will win, but there are some tough games, they haven’t played at their best lately.”
