Manchester United have been handed a big boost on the injury front ahead of their Premier League clash at home to Fulham on Tuesday following the news that Welsh international Daniel James and Frenchman Anthony Martial are in contention after they both returned to training.

Winger James has not been involved in the Manchester United squad since he made the bench for the first leg clash with Italian Serie A capital club AS Roma in the Europa League semi-finals. He was an unused substitute as the Red Devils recovered from a 2-1 deficit at the halftime break to beat Roma 6-2 at home. Manchester United were able to progress into the Europa League final via an aggregate scoreline of 8-5 after losing the second leg 3-2 in Rome.

French international Martial has not played for Manchester United since he suffered a knee injury while playing for France during the March international break. According to Solskjaer, James and Martial are not fit to start the Fulham game but they could play a part.

Manchester United will secure second spot behind champions and city rivals Manchester City with a win over Fulham who have already suffered relegation from the top flight after just one season in the division. The Cottagers will play their club football in the Championship next term after their demotion from the top flight was confirmed by the 2-0 home loss to Burnley last week Monday. Ashley Westwood and Chris Wood were the goalscorers for the Clarets as they ensured safety with the away win.

Ahead of the Fulham game, the Red Devils have lost their last two games at home. They were beaten by both Leicester City and Liverpool at Old Trafford as recent as last week. There were no fans for those two games but around 10,000 fans would be on hand to watch the Fulham game.
